Do you think you have special abilities?

Why do many people that have had a pre cog dream or a episode of Deja Vu think they have special abilities? They come to the conclusion that they are clairvoyant or psychic or an indigo child or even a vampire. Yes everyone wants to be special, but wouldn't everyone that experienced these things in fact have special abilities. Since these things happen to most people, at one time or another, then that would mean most of the population would have special abilities. So would anyone be special. What makes you so different from everyone else? Prove your case with scientific evidence.
