I need help, i'm an ameture astronomer.?

i really want to be able to see Jupiter, and saturn, but i live in a suburb by LA so the light pollution is overwhelming. My telescope goes up to X100 (i could also add a X2 barlow lense to make it X 200) magnifification. It would be really helpful if you could tell me of a place nearby where you could see the stars really amazingly AND where i could spot Jupiter and Saturn in the night sky.
