Anyone else notice how often our automobiles are used to transport all of one solitary person---the driver?

Riding my motorbike around, I noticed that most vehicles only cab one person. DO YOU THINK that people would be interested in driving one penger motorized mini-cars, if there was some sort of incentive to do so? The savings would be incredible! I can picture a small 3 wheel deal with electric motor and small propane heater that would cost one a thousand bucks or so. It would be a wee bit smaller than a trike motorcycle and include a good fabric covering. Would you drive one of these things and leave the family car at home if all you are doing is commuting (alone) from home to work?
