I need advice on my mom who is abused at her job daily-- verbally, by a male- can she leave and get Un-Emp?

Mom needs to leave (quit) her job. Her boss is constantly verbally abusing her, telling her shes lazy, slow, not doing anything right, yells at her, throws papers at her, treats her like the trash from last week- Shes not the 1st person this happened too, but shes the current one...and he brags about NEVER fired anyone. He makes them quit instead. I want her to leave, but she is single and need unemployment to look for a job-- any suggestions? Is this legal to apply for, with "cause"! Thanks
