Would white pride be more acceptable if it wasn't ociated with supremacy?

I understand that white pride is generally found offensive because it's so often touted by racists. I also get the feeling, however, that white people are expected to be ashamed of their ethnicity unless they are bigots. Personally, I hate organizations such Neo Nazis and the KKK and people like David Duke and Kevin Alfred Strom, but neither am I happy with the Black Panthers who are known for intimidating non-blacks or the more militant members of the NAACP who react to everything that has even the remotest possibility of being against black people (such as a certain Graduation card). Sorry if this sounds like a blog, but I had to get that out there. I do want an answer though.
